Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  Hope everyone had a fun one... Quinn was a little fairie or what she called a flower princess.

We went trick-or treating last night with The Ricker families... Quinn hugged Sawyer & it was followed by an "I love you".  Pretty cute.  Little Gwen is all bundled up in the stroller.

Quinn - 2 yrs & 8 months

We recently came back from a trip to Arizona... while we were there a friend that I grew up with, Tania Hatch took these amazing photos of Quinn. She is a very talented photographer - I had a hard time narrowing down which pictures to post because I love all of them. Tania captured all Quinn's little expressions and had creative ideas. Quinn did really good too (even in 100 degree heat)! Her "baby" made a cameo in some of the shots, as well as her pink tutu which she wears almost every day now, with any outfit. What a girl! Thanks, Tania!!!

Hola! So as usual it's been a couple of months and now I have lots to post. Summer has been busy... we have had great warm weather and lots of visits with family and friends. I will reflect back on some of it...

Todd and Dennis got the house painted... I worked on trim and still need to paint the doors. Can't see the doors in this photo, so its a good one to show. So much better than white and forrest green! Todd has a favorite pair of work shorts that are falling apart, apparently his buddy Dennis does too!

Quinn and I went to the zoo in July... her favorite animal was the elephant. And she got quite excited jumping up and down on many occasions out of pure excitement.

Loves the backpacks/ purses and playing with Tobi!

She was excited to have her Nana and Steve come to visit! And so were we!

This is hilarious... Sawyer and Quinn riding his little four wheeler. I promise the Dad's were close by, I just cropped them out because it's funny to see the toddlers on a quad. They made it so they couldn't go very fast too.

Quinn is pretty much in love with her newest (but not for long) cousin "Baby Gen". It's really Gwen but I wonder if Quinn will call her Baby Gen for the rest of her life and kiss her constantly. I am sure Gwen will start resisting soon but for now it's pretty cute.

Monica & Brian's kids came to stay with us while they went to Tennessee and we had lots of fun having them. Especially Quinn! They all loved spending time together and Quinn got lots of attention and love.
I love this picture!
Love my cousins!

It's the hunting season at our house, so T has been off hanging out in the woods. This is his little archery range he set up in the yard and a picture of the view from the last trip he was on. I guess I can see why he likes it...

We have been eating lots of tomatoes from the garden.. and we are still not sick of them!

Happy 4th!

Hello... I am just enjoying a nice day off of work and thought I would update Xanga while Quinn is napping. She needs her afternoon nap so that she can return my fun-loving silly girl each day! We can't believe that she is almost 2 1/2 - here are some of her favorite things to do:
- Playing with her cousins!
- Being spun in circles and thrown in the air
- Swimming
- Playing in the garage & outside
- Purses and shoes
- Dora the Explorer
- Counting to 14 and them making up #'s from there
- Hugging Tobi
- Saying her prayers before bed

12 - Glasses 17 - Mr Potato Head

She loves her doggy! Tobi turned 7 in June and is starting to show his age... the Vet said he has arthritis, so we have been trying to treat him so it won't get worse. We think that he is pretty much the best dog in the world!

We spend a lot of time in this room... it's my office/ Quinn's playroom.

Yep, she is obsessed with purses and backpacks!

Over Memorial weekend... we camped at Barton with the Arnells/ Rickers. Jay, Heather, Gwen, Jennifer and Bentley surprised us and came to join the fun! We got to meet Gwen for the first time, and everyone wanted to hold her! Of course, they are living in Oregon now and we get to see them all the time! Quinn hugs and kisses Gwen any chance she gets... but she is still pretty stingy with giving kisses to anyone else though. Uncle Jay Jay keeps trying! We usually get the elbow or just her cheek.

The trees are all planted! They are Red Japanese Maples. Todd has been working hard, he's out there a few hours every night after working all day. Hopefully the efforts and sacrifices will all pay off someday! Quinn thinks its pretty great... my little farmgirl!

Todd and Roger planting the garden... Roger has been a big help! Plus I think he and Todd just love playing outside in the dirt really. I have been enjoying getting to step into my backyard and get some lettuce, basil, onions. Pretty soon... we will have a ton of potatoes, corn and tomatoes amongst other things. I am enjoying the garden more than I thought I would! We will be able to do a lot of sharing, its way more than we can eat!

Gwen's blessing... she wore the dress that Heather was blessed in. I love her cheeks and lips, they remind me of Quinn's!

The Andersons were just here visiting and Quinn had a blast with the kids. Looking at this picture of the 4 of them... I can't believe how big they are! Chase just texted me last night with his new cell phone...

Happy Easter to you!

Hola... I have been meaning to post for a while and thought I would stay up late and get some photos on here for Easter and I also wanted to say Happy Easter to everyone! I will start with back in February and move forward and finish on the fun Easter egg hunt that we had at out house today! Once again, we are vowing never to give Quinn sugar again as she totally crashed and was a mess once everyone left. I already hid all traces of candy... and I told the Easter Bunny not to put any candy in her basket. : )

In February, my Dad came to the PNW to visit us and Monica and her family too. We love to have him and hope that he will come more now that he is retired! Quinn warmed up to "PaPa" Widmer as soon as we go home from the Airport and she could show him all of her stuff.
Grandpa Widmer

This one had to be posted because it nicely shows the difference in the size of Sawyer's and Quinn's mouths... we always joke about it. We first noticed it when they were younger, when we were spoon-feeding them. Quinn's is about twice the size! Cracks me up...

Into Mommy's make-up AGAIN! But she had those PJ's on so how could I get upset?

We thought we were done with the snow and then at the beginning of March - we got some more! Quinn had been running around in it with Tobi and we had to make her come in to warm up. Love her little expression in this one.
Snow in March!

We surprised Todd with some homemade salsa one night... she loved pushing the grind button! And then that next week was obsessed with pulling the chair over to "help" me cook. This evening she spilled the spaghetti noodles every where.

Monica and the girls came a few weekends ago and Monica and I went to see "Wicked" with her friend Jill. We were able to celebrate Todd's 35th birthday all together! And Quinn loved getting spoiled by her cousins.

The girls liked walking to our neighbors pond... and of course Tobi loves it too. They don't mind him getting in as long as he doesn't chase ducks away. Great photo spot! Hope they don't mind me using it for that too!

Quinn is adjusting quite well to life in the country... here she is out on her morning stroll with some snacks. She spends hours outside mowing the grass and throwing rocks with Daddy! I've decided she needs more outside play clothes though...
Morning walk

She got to participate in two Easter Egg hunts this year and loves it! This is one we went to last weekend at some friends. It was the warmest and sunniest day we have had this year and it was much needed by all the Oregonians! She got to meet the Easter Bunny, and surprisingly wasn't afraid and kept asking for him after he left. I guess he is pretty soft and fuzzy...
Egg hunt Easter Bunny

And here we are to earlier this evening... The Easter Bunnies did a good job hiding the eggs. : )
Hiding eggs

We had all eaten dinner and Quinn was begging to go outside but we couldn't find Sawyer... oh there he is! What a silly guy!
Where's Sawyer

And then we let them loose... just the three littlest ones (Sawyer, Cort, Quinn) got to hunt but everyone enjoyed the candy!
Let's go hunting Quinn's off Sawyer on the go Got a load Little ones

Then we colored Easter eggs...

And now I am off to bed... HAPPY EASTER!!!!!
